Its our FAQ About Us page!
Who are we? [Click here to see us]
Were a small and happy team of book designers and support staff.
Where are we?
At the end of the phone and online, but also in Norwich or attending briefings on your premises.
What do we usually design?
We currently specialise in complex, full-colour graphic layouts for the Teaching English as a Foreign Language market, because thats what our customers seem to need us to do at the moment. But we are equally happy creating all kinds of text designs, ranging from straightforward novels to complex technical reference books and anything in between. We also design book covers, plate sections, leaflets, flyers, posters, etc.

What else do we do?
We not only provide designs and full mark-ups, we also pride ourselves in our typesetting and page make-up skills. We are happy working on new projects from scratch but are also experienced creators of English co-editions. We are expert in DTP methods which enable us to work cleanly and efficiently. The studio is highly organised and we take a careful and methodical approach to all projects.
We communicate excellently within the studio and with our clients. We understand technical briefs, the nature of the work and always, always think and plan ahead.
We are also happy taking work (including small parts of larger projects) from other overloaded designers who need a bit of anxiety-free expert help at exceedingly busy times.
Oh, yes. We also wrote the html for this website ourselves.

How long have we been around?
Ben Cracknell Studios itself has been in existence since 1994 and still retains the original staff. The current team has been working together for three and a half years (at October 2007). Between the five of us (not counting our freelance support) we have 73 years of design studio experience.
